What is an Apostille?

An Apostille certifies notarized or legal U.S. documents for use in countries that belong to the Hague Apostille Convention. For non-Hague member nations, a traditional document authentication and embassy chain process is required. Unsure which certification your document needs? Apostille Services — All 50 States​

If you are traveling, working, or relocating abroad, your notarized or official U.S. documents may require an Apostille or international document authentication before you leave the country. Mountaineer Mobile Services facilitates seamless Apostille services for West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, and all 50 states, handling everything from state Secretary of State filings to U.S. Department of State processing.​

What Documents Need an Apostille?​

An Apostille certifies official and notarized documents for international use. Common documents that frequently require state or federal Apostille processing include:

Please note: Apostilles are sent to the originating state Secretary of State office or the US Department of State for federal documents, so allow time for your documents to be mailed, processed and mailed back. Please consider this and plan accordingly to prevent delays in you leaving for your trip. Documents needing sent to the US Dept. of State can take 8 weeks or more to process.
